To: Senator Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee
If you believe that we should be ruled by the will of the people, then
please take a moment to consider this petition t the DNC.
Please forward this to any and all afrocentric, multi-cultural or
progressive mailing lists to which you may belong. Thanks.
Thanks to the AfroSpear for alerting me and Francis L Holland of The Committee to Unite the Democratic Party for preparing this action.
Senator Hillary Clinton Must Concede Defeat and Support the Democratic Presidential Ticket
The signatories to this statement urge that Senator Hillary Clinton must concede defeat in her quest for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination and must support the Democratic ticket.
Wherefore:
(1) The Democratic Party base has spoken. The delegate count shows that Senator Hillary Clinton cannot win the nomination on the strength of earned delegates, based on the will of the voters. [Please sign the petition now.]
(2) Mrs. Clinton's political attacks upon Senator Barack Obama have increasingly appealed to and sought to increase resentment against others based on the color of their skin. [Please sign now.]
(3) This divisiveness is regrettable because, via the presidential candidacy of Senator Obama, the vast majority of African-Americans stand united with millions of white Americans and Americans of all colors, genders, ethnicities and religious backgrounds, erasing divisions to implement a program of Democratic change. Together, we're making history!
(4) It appears that Mrs. Clinton is about to shatter this historic unity. Don't let her do it!
(5) We therefore call on Mrs. Clinton to face the reality of the earned delegates count, concede defeat, and thereby contribute to healing a wound which is opening and continues to widen. It's time for healing.
(6) Mrs. Clinton must wholeheartedly support the winner of the nomination, who has earned the most delegates, and devote herself honestly and enthusiastically to defeating Republican electoral hopes in 2008, not attacking Democratic politicians and Democratic constituencies. Tell Hillary to stop her divisive tactics!
(7) Should the Democratic Party leadership nullify the people's votes by giving Mrs. Clinton the nomination, despite the popular will as represented by earned delegates, we would then call upon African-American voters and all Democratic Party constituencies and supporters to withhold their support from a Hillary Clinton candidacy in November. We have survived eight years under President Bush and, if compelled to do so, we will survive four years under a President McCain. However, we cannot and will NOT survive the nullification of our most hard-won right - our votes. We're not going to take this lying down!

Hillary and Bill Clinton have made a significant issue about how the press is treating Hillary unfairly in their hyper-critical reporting on her and their “softball” reporting on Barak Obama. Hillary maintains she has been fully investigated by the media and Barak hasn’t!
As the Tony Rezko trial begins in Chicago, Clinton and her surrogates are linking Obama to Rezko and the media is speculating about whether Obama will be called to testify as a witness in the case. Obama has always admitted he received $85,000 in contributions from Rezko which Obama has now donated to charity rather than keep.
Yet the civil fraud trial of Bill Clinton for defrauduing Hillary’s largest donor in 2000 into giving her campaign more than $1.2 million, pending in Los Angeles courts since 2003, is now preparing for a November, 2008 trial. The discovery that is now proceeding after a February 21 hearing, and the pending trial, have NEVER been announced by the mainstream media.
Hillary was able to extricate herself as a co-defendant in the case in January, 2008 after years of appeals to be protected by the First Amendment from tort claims arising out of federal campaign solicitations she made. Her abuse of the intent of California’s anti-SLAPP law after the California Supreme Court refused to dismiss her from the case in 2004 is emblematic of her contempt for the Rule of Law.
Hillary will be called as a witness in both discovery and the trial according to the trial court Judge who so-advised Hillary’s attorney David Kendall when he dismissed Hillary as a co-defendant in 2007. A subpoena is being prepared this month and will be served personally on Hillary, along with Chelsea, Pa Gov. Ed Rendell, Al Gore and other well known political and media figures.
Yet the media has refused to report about this landmark civil fraud case- brought by Hillary’s biggest 2000 donor to her Senate race, regarding allegations that were corroborated by the Department of Justice in the criminal trial of Hillary’s finance director David Rosen in May, 2005. That indictment and trial was credited as resulting from the civil suit’s allegations by Peter Paul, the Hollywood dot com millionaire Bill Clinton convinced to donate more than $1.2 million (according to the DOJ prosecutors and the FBI) to Hillary’s Senate campaign as part of a post White House business deal with Bill.
The media - except for World Net Daily- has also suspiciously refused to report on Hillary’s last FEC report regarding her 2000 Senate campaign, filed in January 30, 2006. In a secret settlement of an FEC complaint by the plaintiff in Paul v Clinton, Peter Paul, the FEC fined Hillary’s campaign $35,000 for hiding more than $720,000 in donations from Paul, and it required Hillary’s campaign to file a 4th amended FEC report.
In that report Hillary and her campaign again hid Paul’s $1.2 million contribution to her campaign and falsely attributed $250,000 as being donated by Paul’s partner, Spider Man creator Stan Lee, who swore in a video taped deposition he never gave Hillary or her campaign any money.
Lee did testify to trading $100,000 checks with Paul to make it appear he gave $100,000 to Hillary’s campaign (admission of a felony) but none of that has been reported by the “overly critical” media!
Where is the outrage from Obama that the press is engaging in a double standard relating to his possible role in the Rezko trial and his refunding the $85,000 contributed to his campaign by Rezko- which Obama has always admitted taking. The media makes no mention of Hillary’s role as a witness in Bill’s fraud trial for defrauding Hillary’s largest donor- and Hillary’s refusal to refund the $1.2 million she illegally received from Paul, which she has denied taking from Paul ever since the Washington Post asked her about Paul and his felony convictions from the 1970’s before her first Senate election in 2000?
Check out www.Hillcap.org for proof of Hillary Clinton commiting crimes. The evidence that could have put Hillary Clinton in jail for 5 years.
See Clarence Thomas for clarification.
Second, I find it amazing that a man can be forthcoming about what could be a ticking time bomb, but Hillary and Bill Clinton get a pass for the income they have earned from various parties that have led to a massive fraud case.
But what I find most interesting about those who are clearly hateful in their dislike of Senator Obama--because it seems these comments never respectfully state why they support another candidate, and more "why the other candidate should die" comments. And generally the comments are not based in fact, but on what was heard by somebody at the water cooler.
Sad. The most wealthy large nation in the world, and yet are critical thinking skills are questionable, at the least.
I've been holding back my verdict on your man Obama. I'm pretty deeply suspicious of anybody who goes into politics in the first place. However I saw his speech yesterday and it fair nearly convinced me. Genuinely wonderful speech, if he actually manages to win in November I think people will look back and trace it back to this moment. Indeed it would probably go down the "gettysburgs" and the "i have a dreams" With his back to the wall it was truly heartening to see him refuse to sell himself down the river. Perhaps after all he is one of the few with a little courage and integrity.
Only the bit where he suggests that the conflicts in the Middle East were rooted not in the actions of "stalwart allies" like Israel but in the "perverse and hateful ideologies of radical Islam." disturbed me. But in the light of the Jeremiah videos and the misinformation suggesting he is Muslim himself he perhaps feels he needs to say that sort of thing to stand any chance at all of getting "the job" (he's probably right of course, but here begins the thin edge of the wedge that ultimately leads people towards . . . .aaarg! HILARYNESS ) For now though I'm willing to say "Obama, you might just be alright."

"Maybe that is why he voted to go to war with a country that had no al Qaeda ties. Maybe that is why he completely fails to understand that the war in Iraq has done more to embolden America's enemies than any strategic choice that we have made in decades," the Illinois senator said.
This speaks volumes for me.

Karen.
Yes, Karen, Obama's More Perfect Union also solidified for me what this country actually needs. If nothing else, Obama is an amazingly intelligent man. Considering our White House has been short on that particular qualification for years would be enough of a change for me. After he is elected, I may not agree with some of his solutions, but, I'd know that they'd been fully researched using as much empirical data as possible. Which is more than I can say for the present candidates or leaders.
Anyway, thanks for posting this Concede Now, Hillary!" petition, so that we all can express our desire that the nomination process proceed according to establish rules and/or our antipathy against the Clinton campaign for trying to stigmatize all Black people and our accomplishments in their efforts to win the presidency.
On Tuesday, March 25, we will have a "Day of Blogging for Voter Justice" in which all concerned bloggers will blog on this topic, coinciding with press releases being delivered to the national media. If Hillary didn't know that we've lost our patience with her and her surrogates color-aroused politicking, now she knows.
Sometimes I regret that I don't have more comments on my blog, but when I see some of the comments above, I feel like I'd rather be left in peace.
I have to say, one thing which resonates for me about Obama is the way in which he navigates the political sphere with a minimal amount of personal and professional fallout. His candidacy would never have garnered the support it has unless he could conduct the orchestra of his soul strings and never lose tempo.
As to comments...for some reason my blog always draws out the haters. I'm used to it by now. I have a mantra. "They are rocks, but I am water."
