As the the keynote speaker at a back to school convocation in Dallas, Texas recently, it was almost as if every great Black orator from time began came flooding out. The griots to Fredrick Douglas to King, Jr. to Obama echoed in his demeanor as he stood up in front of 20,000 people delivered his speech. I was inspired. I thought, if you're going to send your children to school, make sure they are filled up with a similar sense of confidence and surety.
